Kenny Omega AEW Return Confirmed

Kenny Omega is returning to AEW television.

On May 1st, AEW will return to The Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada which just so happens to be the hometown of a certain Kenny Omega.

In a new post on social media, the venue has now confirmed that Omega will appear at the taping for Dynamite and Rampage.

WINNIPEG… we have a secret. We will be seeing Kenny Omega at AEW in Winnipeg on May 1!

The announcement comes just days after Tony Khan said he hoped Kenny Omega would be able to appear at the taping. Khan, who was speaking at the post-AEW Dynasty media scrum, also talked-up the long-awaited returns of Britt Baker and MJF.

Kenny Omega Opens Up About Diverticulitis Struggle

Back in December, it was revealed that Kenny Omega would be stepping away from the ring after being diagnosed with diverticulitis. The Canadian star had been struggling for several months but wasn’t aware of just how serious his condition was. It’s been reported that had Omega continued without medical treatment his condition could have been life threatening.

On a recent Twitch stream, Omega declined to put a timeline on his recovery, revealing his health continues to fluctuate greatly. Despite this, he confirmed he’s continued to train so he can return to the ring as quickly as possible.

The star had previously hinted that he could require surgery, although there’s been no word on if or when a procedure will take place.
