Jungle Boy Names AEW Veteran He Wouldn’t Take Advice From
Jungle Boy Jack Perry has discussed who he listens to for advice in AEW and explained why he doesn’t necessarily seek out the opinions of Billy Gunn.
Perry is considered one of the four male Pillars of AEW and will compete in a four-way match at Double Or Nothing with fellow Pillars MJF, Sammy Guevara, and Darby Allin for the AEW World Championship.
During an appearance for The Love of Wrestling with Monopoly Events, Jungle Boy was asked who he seeks advice from in the company and responded by explaining why Billy Gunn is not someone he’d necessarily speak to given their very different in-ring styles:
“I guess I like to talk to people–I used to like to talk to Luchasaurus a lot. I feel like working with him a lot. He kind of really knew my style and I guess what I was good at and what I was looking for. I think there are a lot of people, I think who don’t, I think everybody thinks of wrestling kind of differently.
“And I don’t think right before you go is the best time to start talking to Billy Gunn, who hates Canadian Destroyers. So I kind of talk to people within my kind of vein of what I’m trying to do for the day.”
Jack Perry isn’t the only AEW star to court controversy with comments about taking advice from veterans with former AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page also saying similar in the past.
