MJF made a bold prediction about his AEW World Title reign during a post on social media.

It was the November 2022 AEW pay-per-view called Full Gear when Maxwell Jacob Friedman beat Jon Moxley to become the AEW World Champion…thanks to an assist from William Regal.

Maxwell Jacob Friedman is the sixth different man to hold the AEW World Title following Chris Jericho, Jon Moxley (three times), Kenny Omega, “Hangman” Adam Page and CM Punk (two times). MJF has them beat in one category – he is the youngest AEW World Champion ever since he was just 26 years old when he won it.

On Twitter, MJF issued a statement about his AEW World Title reign while talking about his training methods, his dedication, and a bold prediction that he will be the longest-reigning AEW WOrld Champion ever.

“I train like a world champion.

I didn’t become the best pro wrestler in the world by accident.

I’ve had some of the best matches in the history of the sport.

I’ve cut some of the best oratory exhibitions in the history of the sport.

While your favorites play video games, I’m in the gym punishing myself.

While your favorites watch anime I’m in my home studying match tape until my eyes bleed.

I want it more then everyone else.

I will go down as the greatest.

I will be the longest reigning AEW World Champion.

I’m better than you and you know it.”

In terms of the length of his title reign, MJF has held the title for over 150 days, so it’s been over five months, but for him to set the record he will need to hold the title for another seven months.

The three longest AEW World Title reigns are as follows:

Kenny Omega – 346 days.
Jon Moxley – 277 days.
“Hangman” Adam Page – 197 days.

Whether MJF can do it or not is up to him and obviously up to the decision-making of AEW’s Owner and Head of Creative, Tony Khan.
