Jon Moxley has big plans for the Blackpool Combat Club in 2024.

On January 4th, New Japan Pro-Wrestling held its biggest event of the year with Wrestle Kingdom 18 at the Tokyo Dome. The event was also a big night for the Blackpool Combat Club, but things didn’t quite go to plan for the group.

However, it seems they’re just getting started.

During his post-match press conference, Moxley explained that he wants to return to Japan with Bryan Danielson, Wheeler Yuta, and Claudio Castagnoli. But not only that, he wants to bring Marina Shafir with them. Moxley initially described the star as a “friend” of the group, adding that she would be representing the BCC.

The comments have caught the eye of AEW fans as it’s long been rumoured that a female star will be added to the faction.

“I have a lot of stuff I want to do in Japan in 2014. I faced and defeated a litany of some of the greatest stars in the history of New Japan Pro-Wrestling; Tanahashi, Suzuki, Ishii, and there is a long list that I haven’t even been in the ring with yet. There is a long list of sh*t I can do in Japan and a long list of moments and holy sh*t stuff that I can do in Japan.

Bryan, my Blackpool Combat Club teammate, he’s wrestling Okada right now. I want to go out and see that. I want to see him make Okada tap out and break his arm after what he cost him. The Blackpool Combat Club has plans in Japan for 2024 and beyond. I want to comeback with Bryan Danielson, with Claudio Castagnoli, I want to get Wheeler Yuta, our young rookie out here and have him test himself and prove himself and prove his mettle with all the great young competitors in Japan.

Bushiroad has some kind of relationship with Stardom and there is a lot of great women’s pro wrestling, Joshi promotions in Japan and this is some of the best women’s wrestling in the world. Friend of the Blackpool Combat Club, Marina Shafir, it’s a goal of mine to get her out in Japan. Seeing Marina Shafir wrestle, I think the fans of Japan, when you see her submission skills or Judo skills, her martial art skills on the mat, I think fans of Japan will absolutely adore the violence she can bring to women’s wrestling.

That’s something I hope to have in the future. Marina Shafir, she wants a shot in Japan. Bring the best women you’ve got because that’s one of the baddest bitches walking the planet and she’ll come over here representing the Blackpool Combat Club,”

Jon Moxley Misses Out At Wrestle Kingdom 18

At Wrestle Kingdom 18, Jon Moxley missed out on becoming the first-ever IWGP Global Heavyweight Champion. At the event, Moxley took on David Finlay and Will Ospreay, but it was Finlay who walked away with the gold before getting involved in a confrontation with former WWE star Dolph Ziggler.

Later in the night, Bryan Danielson took on Kazuchika Okada but he also found himself ending the contest staring at the lights. Okada picked up the win with a Rainmaker to earn a measure of revenge after the American Dragon forced him to submit at Forbidden Door II.
