Jon Moxley Sends Message To AEW Roster After Yet Another Loss
Jon Moxley is refusing to quit.
The second half of 2025 has been characterised by a series of high-profile defeats for Jon Moxley, a run that began as he lost the AEW World Championship to “Hangman” Adam Page at All In.
Since then, he’s been forced to quit by Darby Allin, and submitted inside Blood & Guts and in a later match against Kyle O’Reilly. This placed extra significance on his run through the Continental Classic, but after winning his opening match, Moxley lost twice, first to Claudio Castagnoli and then to Konosuke Takeshita on Collision.
Not only have the losses come as a personal blow to the former champion, but his Death Riders teammates are starting to show signs of frustration.
Jon Moxley Is Determined To Keep Fighting
Following Collision, the AEW cameras caught up with Moxley backstage as he worked through a series of training drills. When pressed for comment, Moxley said that his run was far from over, although he conceded that he no longer had any room for error.
“This sh*t ain’t over. Not over, there’s just not a lot of room for error. I used up all my error. This sh*t ain’t over. Not by a long shot, there’s a lot of tournament left.”
Elsewhere on Collision, it was confirmed that Darby Allin has been pulled from the tournament due to injury. Days earlier on Dynamite, it had been revealed that Allin was unable to compete after being hospitalised since a match with Kevin Knight.
Following the show, it was reported that Allin’s injuries are legitimate, but no further details have been confirmed.
With Allin out, he’s been replaced in the tournament by Jack Perry.
This marks the second year in succession that a change was made to the tournament due to injury, with Komander stepping in for Juice Robinson in 2024.
