John Cena Hints At Huge Rematch With Roman Reigns
John Cena still has “unfinished business” with Roman Reigns.
Cena and The Tribal Chief have faced each other multiple times in their storied careers. The last time they fought one-on-one came at SummerSlam 2021, one year into Reigns’ record-breaking Universal Championship reign. On that occasion, the Head of the Table survived three Attitude Adjustments and hit a huge Spear for the victory.
They next met in a Tag Team bout on the last SmackDown of 2022. There, Cena teamed up with Kevin Owens to take on Reigns and then-Bloodline member Sami Zayn. There, KO and Cena got the victory, with Owens pinning Zayn.
Since returning to WWE in September, Cena has once again found himself embroiled in a feud with The Bloodline, and at Fastlane, he will team up with LA Knight to take on Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso.
Will John Cena face Roman Reigns again?
On the latest episode of WWE’s The Bump, Cena was asked if he had unfinished business with Reigns following their last outing. While he conceded he lost fairly the last time they squared off, Cena said that as long as he’s there, there’s always a chance that the two will meet in the ring again.
“The last time I did get a fair fight, I finished second, which isn’t too bad. You know, as long as you’re in the WWE, it’s unfinished business. As long as you’re here, there’s another match, there’s another chance, there’s, you know, another day. So is unfinished business [a] question mark? Sure, because we’re always here.”
