Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso fought in a singles match at WrestleMania 40.
During the Bloodline era, Jey Uso grew frustrated with Roman Reigns and challenged the Tribal Chief for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at SummerSlam 2023. Jimmy Uso Was Down To Have A Squash Match With Jey Uso At WrestleMania 40
Speaking on the Cheap Heat Podcast, Jimmy Uso talked about his WrestleMania 40 match and how it could’ve turned even better. There were some issues with the time limit, and The Usos had to rush through the match, which later drew major criticism from the WWE Universe.
Host Peter Rosenberg suggests WWE could’ve gone with a squash match if there were some time constraints, and Uso confessed that he was on board with the idea, but WWE didn’t take that route.
They ain’t ready for it. I was like, they ain’t ready for no squash, bro. Duck, spit. Kill me. One, two, three. Get Lil Wayne back in and start partying. Let’s go. Give the other five to somebody who.. you know what I’m saying? Like Yeah. [Peter: Not to not to sound disrespectful, but that almost does sound better than the direction that it went in.]
I was ready. I was ready to do that. I said, “Bro, let Wayne stay out there.” He ain’t got to get out of the ring, bro. I’ll go shake his hand, turn around, spit my a**, splash my a**. One, two, three. Hell, pick me up. We can all dance with Wayne cuz I’m Weezy, too. (From 1:05:36)

But Jey’s hunger for the world title led him to betray his own flesh and blood on TV during a battle royal match for the number 1 contendership for the vacant World Heavyweight Title.
