Jey Uso Wins Civil War At WWE WrestleMania 40
The bad blood between Jimmy and Jey Uso has been brewing for months in WWE and at WrestleMania, the brothers finally got the chance to go to war.
Jey Uso has had a rough time in WWE since losing the WWE Tag Team Championship alongside his brother Jimmy at WrestleMania 39. The Usos turned their back on Roman Reigns having grown tired of their Tribal Chief leading to The Usos defeating Reigns and Solo Sikoa at Money In The Bank in 2023.
However, after Jimmy Uso was taken out by Reigns and Sikoa, Jey Uso found himself fighting alone as he challenged Reigns for his WWE Universal Championship at SummerSlam. However, to the shock of everyone Jimmy Uso turned on his twin brother to help Roman Reigns retain his gold.
Rather than fight, Jey Uso simply walked away from The Bloodline and SmackDown leading to Cody Rhodes bringing him to Raw. Since then, Uso has had a better time of it even winning the WWE Tag Team Championship with Rhodes but Jimmy Uso had his say again in that title reign as he cost them the gold against The Judgment Day.
Jimmy Uso again cost Jey gold by interfering in his Intercontinental Championship match with Gunther and this was the final straw for Jey Uso as he laid down a huge WrestleMania challenge to his twin brother.
Jimmy & Jey Uso Go To War At WrestleMania
At WrestleMania 40, The Usos threw themselves a superkick party with the crowd firmly behind Jey Uso with their chants of “yeet.”
With Jey Uso set to put his brother away, Jimmy Uso begged his brother for forgiveness and Jey gave him his hand but the crowd already knew what was about to happen as Jimmy hit another superkick and a splash but only got a two count. Jey Uso was then able to follow up with a spear – of all things – and a splash of his own to pick up the win.
