Jim Ross Names Possible Edge Dream Matches In AEW

If Edge does indeed sign with AEW, Jim Ross hopes the company will book the match he’s dreaming of.

Edge celebrated the 25th anniversary of his WWE debut recently, but after it ended some reports emerged implying his career with WWE was over as well, allegedly because he and the company couldn’t agree on new terms.

Edge responded to these claims by denying them categorically, but that hasn’t stopped others within the wrestling world from discussing fantasy ideas of Edge possibly joining AEW.

One of those discussing such theoretical ideas is Jim Ross, who described his initial thoughts on the matter on an episode of his Grilling JR podcast.

“I haven’t given it much thought,” Ross said. “I mean … how about Edge and Kenny Omega? Things like that. I think Edge and Will Ospreay …There’s a million ways to monetize this potential.

Those matches just came off the top of my head that I’m sure other fans are right on top of and agree. Would you like to see Edge and Chris Jericho? Hell yeah.”

Edge has been with WWE since 1998

Edge started his wrestling career on July 1, 1992 and had his first televised match on June 12th, 1998 against Jose Estrada.

By the end of that year Edge was put together with Gangrel and Christian to form the Brood, a stable of vampires with one of the most popular entrances in modern times.

Edge would go on to become one of the most decorated wrestlers in WWE history. Has won eleven world titles, fourteen tag team titles, six midcard singles titles, two Royal Rumbles (2010 and 2021, was the first Money in the Bank winner, and won the 2001 King of the Ring tournament.
