Jim Ross Feels No Connection From Major AEW Champion
Jim Ross has admitted that he hasn’t felt the connection with Mercedes Mone.
Mercedes Mone made her AEW debut at the special Big Business edition of Dynamite back in March. Sine then, The CEO has become a dominant force in the company’s women’s division and is the reigning TBS Champion.
While she debuted as a babyface, during her recent feud with Britt Baker the star turned heel, becoming more arrogant and enlisting the help of the imposing Kamille in her rivalries.
Despite Mone’s popularity and her accomplishments in a short time in the company, Jim Ross has admitted he hasn’t “felt her connection yet.” On his Grilling JR podcast, the veteran announcer explained that he sometimes thinks she’s “cool,” but just hasn’t felt it.
“I still haven’t felt her connection yet. I know that she has a lot of popularity. I know that people around the world know who she is, but I haven’t felt it. Sometimes I think she’s a cool babyface and sometimes I think she’s a cool heel, but she’s pretty cool nonetheless.”
Mercedes Mone To Defend TBS Title On AEW Dynamite
After a run-in at WrestleDream, Mercedes Mone will defend her TBS on AEW Dynamite. The star had a backstage altercation with Queen Aminata at the Tacoma Dome when Aminata took exception to her being rude to staff. This led to Tony Khan making a match between the two for October 16th when AEW heads to San Jose, Califonia.
