Jake Roberts Recalls Brutal Bar Brawl Aftermath Involving WWE Hall Of Famer

WWE Hall of Famer Jake Roberts bid a heartfelt farewell to his longtime colleague and fellow Hall of Famer, Sika Anoa’i, who passed away at the age of 79 on June 25th.

Remembering their shared journey in the wrestling world, Jake Roberts chose to honour Sika’s memory with a poignant yet humorous anecdote during an episode of “The Snake Pit.” Recalling a memorable incident from their past, Roberts painted a vivid picture of a day by the pool in Baton Rouge that took an unexpected turn.

This drunk dude comes out and he’s talking loud. ‘Ah, wrestlers, big deal.’ And Sika’s laying in the lounge chair, I’m laying in a lounge chair, I believe Afa was there too.

Roberts recounted. The situation escalated when the man approached them and provocatively asked Sika his opinion. In response, Sika swiftly struck the man with a powerful blow to the mouth, ending the confrontation abruptly.

And this guy just keeps going on and on. So he walks up behind us and he leans over and he goes ‘What do you think about that big man?’ And Sika just reached back with his left hand, just threw his arm back and hit the guy in the f***ing mouth, man.

Despite chasing the man away barefoot, Sika’s actions had lasting consequences that surfaced days later during a scheduled TV taping.

Two or three days later, we’re at the television station doing interviews, and Sika’s over there going ‘Oh, my hand, it hurts so bad I don’t know what to do.’ We were like ‘What’s going on?’

Jake Roberts recounted with a chuckle. Concerned, they inspected Sika’s injured hand only to discover something unexpected.

My hand’s split open, I can see my bone.

Sika claimed. Upon closer examination, they realised it wasn’t bone but rather the teeth of the man Sika had punched that had lodged themselves into his hand during the scuffle.

‘See your bone? Let’s see.’ So he takes off the bandages and we look at it and we move it around a little bit and we figure it out. ‘It’s not bone. It’s that guy’s f***ing teeth.’ Two teeth were still stuck in his hand.
