Injured WWE Star Set To Miss 6+ Months Of Action
Bad news has struck a WWE star following a recent injury.
Ridge Holland had appeared on a Total Nonstop Action (TNA) taping, where he sustained a foot injury. As a result, the referee decided to call off the match.
In a fan’s 8-second video shared online, Holland can be seen assisted by the referee and TNA star, Moose, who was his opponent in the match.
The video shows the 37-year-old struggling to put his left foot on the ground. Later, the WWE star took to social media to update his followers about his injury, which he revealed as a Lisfranc injury and would need surgery.
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter revealed that the injury will keep him out of the ring for at least six months if not more.
Ridge Holland also competed at TNA’s Victory Road against Mike Santana. Additionally, he has been a regular on WWE EVOLVE.
Update On Missing WWE Star, Tony D’Angelo
Tony D’Angelo’s last WWE NXT appearance was on 15 July, where he competed in a triple threat match against Luca Crusifino and Channing Lorenzo.
While D’Angelo won the match, he has not been seen in a live taping ever since, leaving fans wondering about his status.
Dave Meltzer explained that the 30-year-old WWE star is not injured and is missing TV time because he requested a break.
Regarding the disappearance of Tony D’Angelo, it is not injury related but he asked for time off, Meltzer said.
The former NXT North American Champion struggled to keep The D’Angelo Family together, resulting in its disbandment. The faction also included Adrianna Rizzo, who is currently sidelined with a torn ACL.
