Huge Update On WWE Plans For Roman Reigns 2023 Title Matches
At WWE’s Survivor Series Premium Live Event, The Bloodline took out Team Brawling Brutes to win their WarGames Match. Now, Roman Reigns shifts to his next opponent who will challenge him for his top spot in the company.
According to WrestlingNews.co, sources within WWE are telling them that the current plan is for Roman Reigns to defend his WWE Universal Championship against Kevin Owens at Royal Rumble. Originally, Sheamus was put into that position, however, the plan is now Reigns vs. Owens.
Also, it appears that WWE also has WrestleMania plans for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships to be up for grabs as well, with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn squaring off against The Usos, which gives off the impression that Zayn will eventually no longer be with The Bloodline.
WrestlingNews.co also reported that a few weeks ago, they were hearing talks about Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn facing off one-on-one at the Royal Rumble. However, it looks like that match has been moved to the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event in February, which takes place in Montreal, Quebec, Canada — Zayn’s hometown.
Despite all of the bombshell news, WrestlingNews.co also made it clear that there are still no plans for Roman Reigns to lose his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in the near future or anytime before April’s WrestleMania.
WrestlingNews.co has been consistent with that reporting for months. However, as wrestling fans know, plans can always change.
