Huge Title Change On WWE Raw Season Premiere
The season premiere of WWE Raw proved to be a successful night for The Judgment Day.
At Fastlane on the 7th of October, the unlikely duo of Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes came together to capture the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship from The Judgment Day’s Damian Priest and Finn Balor. Uso and Rhodes had two successful televised title defences against both Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn and Austin Theory & Grayson Waller but on the season premiere edition of Raw, their luck ran out.
The show’s main event saw Priest and Balor getting their rematch against the champions and while The Judgment Day often have the numbers advantage it was an even more familiar face that cost the champions their gold.
Jimmy Uso costs Jey WWE tag team gold
Cody Rhodes was sent crashing through the commentary table by Damian Priest during the contest leaving Jey Uso to fend for himself. Jimmy Uso made a shock appearance on the show, delivering a superkick to his own twin brother, leaving him lying for Finn Balor to ultimately pick up the win and bring the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship back to The Judgment Day.

With the loss, Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes will no longer be eligible to float between Raw and SmackDown – although whether that will stop them remains to be seen. But that could stretch out an inevitable one-on-one showdown between The Usos and also a possible rematch between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns as The American Nightmare continues his quest to finish his story.
