“Halted” WWE Storyline Returns On Raw

A previously abandoned storyline made its return on WWE Raw.

The cracks are starting to show in The Judgment Day following the miscommunication at SummerSlam between Damian Priest and Finn Balor which led to Seth Rollins defeating Balor to retain the World Heavyweight Championship.

The group was in the news a few weeks ago when WRKD Wrestling reported – in a now deleted Tweet – that plans that would have seen former NXT Cruiserweight Champion JD McDonagh work with the group had been “halted for the time being.” McDonagh is in real-life a long-time friend of Finn Balor and the two had been talking together backstage at WWE shows before the apparent change in plans.

What happened with The Judgment Day on WWE Raw?

On Raw in Minneapolis, JD McDonagh was apparently back in the picture as he was speaking to Finn Balor when Damian Priest approached to discuss “Judgment Day business.” Balor told Priest whatever he had to say he could say in front of McDonagh before Priest and Balor began arguing over recent events. Rhea Ripley intervened to tell both of them to stop acting like children and start acting like men.

JD McDonagh then suggested that the Money In The Bank briefcase was starting to come between Priest and Balor and maybe it was time to get rid of it – a suggestion that did not sit well with Damian Priest.

Things got worse for The Judgment Day in the night’s main event as Priest, Balor, and Dirty Dominik Mysterio lost to the team of Cody Rhodes, Shinsuke Nakamura, and World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins.
