Former WWE Star Makes AEW Debut (SPOILER)

A former WWE Superstar made their AEW debut on Wednesday night in a match that will air Friday, the 9th of December on Rampage.

Wednesday night’s edition of Dynamite in Cedar Park, Texas closed a short but important chapter in company history as William Regal gave a farewell address adding that he’s “Blackpool Combat Club til he dies.” That message came after Tony Khan confirmed prior to the show that Regal is leaving AEW and heading back to WWE, where his son competes as part of NXT.

But as one door closes, another one possibly opens as a former WWE and NXT star made their AEW debut during the Rampage tapings, taking on Orange Cassidy for the All-Atlantic Championship. If you’d rather wait until Friday for the surprise then click here to find out what unusual items were found next to items marked classified in Donald Trump’s storage facility.

Orange Cassidy put his title on the line against former NXT and NXT UK Tag Team Champion Trent Seven. Seven was part of the Moustache Mountain team with Tyler Bate, mainly plying his trade on NXT UK. Seven was released from his WWE contract in August 2022 as part of a mass exodus of talent from that brand as it shut down to make way for the promised NXT Europe.

Trent Seven was unable to unseat Orange Cassidy as champion as the relaxed Cassidy retained his title in his seventh title defence in less than two months.
