First 2 WWE Stars Qualify For Money In The Bank

WWE Money In The Bank stage

Monday Night Raw was the land of opportunity for two former WWE Intercontinental Champions as they booked their place in this year’s men’s Money In The Bank match.

The action kicked off on Raw in Albany, New York with Ricochet taking on The Miz in a qualifying match for Money In The Bank. The Miz has previous with the Money In The Bank briefcases, cashing them in on two occasions to capture the WWE Championship but a Shooting Star Press from Ricochet was enough to pick up the win and book his place in July’s ladder match.

Later in the evening, it was Shinsuke Nakamura and Bronson Reed’s turn to do battle with a place in Money In The Bank on the line. Despite Reed’s obvious size and power advantage, three Kinshasas were enough for the former Royal Rumble winner to give himself a chance of claiming Money In The Bank as well.

More qualifying matches will take place on the next edition of SmackDown as Montez Ford and LA Knight will battle to become the third man to qualify. On the women’s side of things, Lacey Evans will take on the LWO’s Zelina Vega for a place in the women’s ladder match.

For the first time ever Money In The Bank will be held outside of the United States with The O2 Arena in London, England playing host to one of WWE’s showpiece events on July 1st.
