Finn Balor’s WWE Contract Status Revealed

Finn Balor WWE

Finn Balor might be one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions but by the time WrestleMania is in the books, he might be done with the company.

In July 2014, the man known to many as Prince Devitt in New Japan Pro Wrestling became Finn Balor when he joined WWE NXT. He spent two years on the brand, winning the NXT Championship in the process before graduating to the main roster.

His first success as part of WWE Raw did not take long as he became the inaugural Universal Champion at SummerSlam 2016 but his reign lasted less than one night due to an injury he suffered in the bout against Seth Rollins.

During his time in WWE, Balor has become a Grand Slam Champion and is currently part of The Judgment Day, a group that has been integral to Monday Night Raw for over a year. However, how much longer Balor continues to be part of WWE remains to be seen.

Finn Balor’s WWE Deal Ends In A Matter Of Weeks

Raj Giri has reported that Finn Balor’s contract is up with WWE after WrestleMania 40 on April 6th and 7th. Perhaps more notable is the fact that it is also mentioned that Balor has not been approached to renew his deal by WWE as of yet.

Finn Balor is not the only WWE star whose deal is up soon in the company. Drew McIntyre’s WWE deal also ends after WrestleMania 40 and after a year of speculation about his future, it seems the former WWE Champion has still not signed a new deal.

A previous report indicated Endeavor was looking to lock in WWE stars to new deals and would be offering contracts in order of their expiration. If that is accurate then Finn Balor’s future with the company could be in some doubt although this can always change.

In the more immediate future, Finn Balor will be part of a huge title match on the 29th of January edition of Raw.
