Two WWE Title Matches Set For Raw After Royal Rumble

All focus in WWE might well be on the Royal Rumble but Raw’s champions better be prepared for the 1,601st edition of the flagship show.

The issues between The New Day and Imperium have been raging for weeks and on Raw in New Orleans both teams had the chance to put things to bed. However, a tag team match between Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, Giovanni Vinci, and Ludwig Kaiser went to a double count out with both teams continuing to brawl through the crowd. The action ended when The New Day speared their opponents off equipment boxes through tables.

Later in the show, Kofi Kingston indicated he wasn’t done with Imperium as he challenged Gunther to put his Intercontinental Championship on the line when Raw heads to Tampa. But that won’t be the only title match on the show.

WWE Tag Team Title Also Up For Grabs On Raw

Rhea Ripley was the bearer of bad news as she told Finn Balor and Damian Priest that they’d have to put their WWE Tag Team Championship on the line against #DIY on the 29th of January edition of Raw.

Finn Balor made his presence felt later in the night as he helped Dominik Mysterio defeat The Miz. Balor kept the attack going after the match leading to Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano making the save.

Raw also saw Cody Rhodes and CM Punk come face-to-face as things got heated between the two favourites to win the men’s Royal Rumble and headline WrestleMania 40.
