Ex-WWE World Champion Officially Out Of Wrestlepalooza

WWE logo blur Damian Priest Judgment Day

A former WWE Champion has confirmed their unavailability for Wrestlepalooza.

The premium live event will be held at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, Indianapolis, on September 20, with only a handful of matches finalized so far.

Damian Priest, who is one of WWE’s top stars, will miss the PLE, as he will be in Pennsylvania hosting a Slayer concert at Hersheypark Stadium.

The 42-year-old is a one-time World Heavyweight Champion, which he became by cashing in his Money in the Bank contract on Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania XL.

Priest took to Instagram to confirm the recent update, while sharing his love Slayer since he was a kid.

I’ve been a Slayer fan since I was a kid. The metal/wrestling connection is special. Slayer’s legacy is part of wrestling’s fabric, and metal owes them a lot. I’m honored to host Slayer’s show and bring wrestling to their world.

9/20 — Hershey Park Stadium, PA: will I see you there?

Damian Priest Unsuccessful Against Aleister Black Yet Again On WWE SmackDown

For over a month, The Archer of Infamy has been feuding with Aleister Black on WWE SmackDown.

A few weeks ago, during a match between the two, Black brutally took out Priest, resulting in the latter missing the subsequent SmackDown.

Priest returned to programming during the Dublin, Ireland, taping on August 22 and went after Black before the security personnel intervened.

On the September 5 episode of the blue brand, Black got an early advantage by attacking Priest before their match began.

In a hard-hitting bout, Aleister Black again managed to get the best of Priest with a Black Mass.

At present, it is difficult to tell when their feud will end or whether either will go after any championship anytime soon.

Elsewhere, WWE is planning huge things for Wrestlepalooza, which will be the Stamford promotion’s first PLE on ESPN in the United States since both sports juggernauts struck a 5-year streaming partnership.
