WWE Is Making Huge Plans For Wrestlepalooza

Triple H WWE Royal Rumble

WWE is making Wrestlepalooza an event to remember.

On August 6, it was announced that WWE’s Premium Live Events will be moving to ESPN from Peacock in early 2026. The monster deal is worth a staggering $1.6 billion across five years and will only impact fans in the United States.

This was followed by the surprise news that the deal would be kicking off sooner than expected, with Wrestlepalooza on September 20. The event is being held on the same day as AEW All Out, but the All Elite event will now be held earlier in the day.

While speaking at the Goldman Sachs Communacopia + Technology Conference, TKO Group COO Mark Shapiro discussed his hopes for Wrestlepalooza. He said that Triple H is working “night and day” to make the event a success, with the aim of making it another WrestleMania or SummerSlam.

Interestingly, WrestleMania and SummerSlam are the company’s own two-night Premium Live Events.

“Next weekend we’re launching in Indianapolis with a brand new franchise, which we hope will be an annual recurring franchise in Wrestlepalooza.

Hopefully, Wrestlepalooza is a winner that we can bring back annually. That could be a marketing bonanza for us if we do that right. Triple H is spending night and day creatively around making that what we think it could be, which is another WrestleMania or another SummerSlam.

Those two stand out above the rest. Royal Rumble is right beneath that. We think Wrestlepalooza can get into that quadrant.”

John Cena To Headline WWE Wrestlepalooza

With hype for the event well underway, it’s been announced that John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar will be Wrestlepalooza’s main event. Elsewhere, AJ Lee will wrestle her first match in just over a decade when she teams with her husband, CM Punk, to face fellow husband and wife team, Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch.

In the biggest title match currently advertised, Stephanie Vaquer and Iyo Sky will clash for the vacant Women’s World Championship.

You can find the updated card for the event below.
