An ex-WWE star, who worked for TNA until 2016 has returned to the promotion.

Ken Anderson began his wrestling journey with the Stamford promotion in 2005, debuting as Ken Kennedy, later changing it to Mr. Kennedy.

During his time with the company, he had various notable feuds, including with the likes of Eddie Guerrero, The Undertaker, and John Cena.

Anderson missed tapings multiple time due to injuries that kept him out for months and was also once suspended for thirty days for abusing WWE’s Wellness Policy.

He was released from his contract in May 2009 after botching a backdrop on Randy Orton. Anderson also claimed that Cena played a role in his firing, as he used his backstage influence to complain to Vince McMahon.

He later admitted that no one was to blame for his release, but himself.

Anderson then worked the independent circuit and debuted on Total Nonstop action in January 2010 as Mr. Anderson.

In his time with the promotion, he became the TNA World Heavyweight Champion twice. He was fired from the company in 2016 after failing an on-the-spot drug test.

Former WWE Superstar Returns To TNA Tapings

Ken Anderson returned to TNA on the September 5 episode of IMPACT from Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Frank Kazarian introduced him during a segment, wherein he later mocked Steve Maclin’s military service. It angered Anderson, who has previously served as a member of the National Guard.

This led to Jake Something attacking Anderson, followed my Maclin making the save. It led to a tag team match decided between Anderson/Maclin and Something/Kazarian, which the babyfaces won.

Fans of Total Nonstop Action have expressed their happiness of seeing the former WWE star return to the promotion. It remains to be seen if he remains a regular on programming in the upcoming days.

Elsewhere, with the return of Brock Lesnar and AJ Lee to the Stamford promotion, it is being reported that WWE is working on bringing back more stars.
