Drew McIntyre Appears At WWE Live Event After Storm Out
Drew McIntyre was part of the men’s WarGames match at Survivor Series but that match and the whole show was overshadowed by the return of CM Punk to WWE.
CM Punk shocked the world when he appeared at the end of WWE Survivor Series, marking his return to the company that he walked out on almost ten years ago. Although the crowd in Chicago gave him a hero’s welcome, not everyone was apparently pleased to see him.
Seth Rollins had to be held back at ringside from confronting Punk and was said to be ushered away from him backstage as well. However, the World Heavyweight Champion could well have been in character as Seth Rollins has previously referred to CM Punk as “a cancer.”
Drew McIntyre stormed out of the arena after being the only person involved in the men’s WarGames match who left ringside before Punk made his entrance.
Drew McIntyre Back In A WWE Ring
Questions about Drew McIntyre’s long-term future in WWE remain but for now, the former WWE Champion was back in the ring one night after Survivor Series at a live event in Peoria, Illinois.
McIntyre and Shinsuke Nakamura challenged Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship on the show but ultimately Rollins retained his crown. After the match, Seth Rollins made clear he didn’t want to waste any more time on CM Punk.
