Drew McIntyre To Reunite With Ex-WWE Faction After Suspension?

Drew McIntyre suffered a massive setback on this week’s SmackDown.

The Scottish Warrior was suspended by General Manager Nick Aldis after interfering in the main event match between Cody Rhodes and Aleister Black.

In doing so, the 40-year-old deliberately hit referee Dan Engler with a Claymore Kick, ending the bout in a no-contest.

Engler was the referee in the Cody Rhodes vs. Drew McIntyre match at Saturday Night’s Main Event XLI, which McIntyre lost.

The match ended controversially after Rhodes used the Undisputed WWE Championship as a prop to hit a DDT on Drew. The referee missed it while recuperating in the ring corner.

Rhodes followed the DDT up with the Cross Rhodes and a successful pinfall.

McIntyre’s suspension is apparently tied to his securing a role in the upcoming Highlander movie alongside Henry Cavill. He will play Cavill’s brother, Angus MacLeod.

Drew McIntyre To Reunite With 3MB?

Amid Drew McIntyre’s suspension, one of his former 3MB stablemates, Jinder Mahal, revisited their time wrestling together in WWE.

During an interview on the Call and Tell podcast, the former world champion, who is also a real friend of McIntyre’s, claims that the amount of success they achieved in wrestling calls for a reunion.

I think now enough time has passed where it’s kind of people have nostalgia. They kind of miss 3MB, and they remember the good times, but at that time, we didn’t have a whole lot of support, not like now. But I think the band has to reform. Maybe have a reunion tour of some sort. [H/T: Wrestle Purists]

Meanwhile, Jinder Mahal, who was released from WWE in 2024, has been rehabilitating after undergoing a knee surgery.
