WrestleMania XL was a monumental day for Drew McIntyre.

Not only did he beat Seth Rollins, but he also won his third world championship.

However, as he recalled recently, the Scottish Warrior believed he would miss that match due to an injury.

McIntyre earned the title shot at the 2024 Elimination Chamber PLE, which he won by beating Randy Orton, Logan Paul, Kevin Owens, LA Knight, and Bobby Lashley.

He claimed that he suffered a busted eardrum in the match, which could potentially hinder his appearance at WrestleMania XL.

Drew McIntyre discussed the subject on a recent episode of IMPAULSIVE with Logan Paul.

I think I tore up the training room after that one because I was so upset. I thought I might miss WrestleMania. Won Elimination Chamber, going to fight for the title at Mania, everything is finally on track. Everything feels right. In my mind, I could be out. I ripped apart the training room and took Larry Heck, the trainer, to calm me down. I was so friggin angry. [H/T: Fightful]

Drew McIntyre Discusses Seth Rollins’ Injury

Drew McIntyre knows a thing or two about legitimate injuries.

At Saturday Night’s Main Event XL, Seth Rollins suffered an injury that is set to keep him out of action for months.

Some reports suggest it could be part of a storyline, which WWE has neither confirmed nor denied. When asked about it, McIntyre spared a thought for the former world champion.

I want him to be okay. He’s a professional rival, not a personal rival. I just don’t see the benefit if it’s a storyline. It’s the Money in the Bank briefcase, it’s going to be a surprise anyways. ‘Haha, I threw a match and did this.’ I just don’t see it. Maybe there is more to it if it becomes a story and I’m not seeing the bigger picture. I just hope it’s okay.

Drew McIntyre is set to feature in a tag team match at SummerSlam alongside Logan Paul to face Randy Orton and Grammy-nominated singer Jelly Roll.
