Dominik Mysterio Names Favourite WWE Bad Guy

Dominik Mysterio has named his favourite heel in WWE history.

Dominik Mysterio is one of the most hated heels in wrestling today. From the moment he turned on his father, Rey Mysterio, to join The Judgment Day in 2022, fans have loved to hate Dirty Dom. Recently, the star took things to a new low at SummerSlam when he betrayed Rhea Ripley to help Liv Morgan retain the Women’s World Title.

When it comes to his own inspiration, many would point to Mysterio’s resemblance to Eddie Guerrero, who infamously fought Rey Mysterio over the custody of Dominik in a Ladder match back in 2005. However, there is another legendary heel who Dominik has pointed to as his favourite, Shawn Michaels.

Speaking to Logan Paul on his Impaulsive podcast, Mysterio explained that he liked the way HBK carried himself and how he seemed able to get away with anything.

“Shawn Michaels, I think just the way he carried himself, just the real ‘Heartbreak Kid.’ Just the s**t he was saying back in the day, he would get away with it … I feel like just, he was just so out of pocket and, you know, Triple H too, just both of them together.”

Dominik Mysterio Reveals Original Pitch For Iconic Match

During the same interview, Dominik Mysterio revealed the original plan for him in the Ladder match between Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero. According to Dirty Dom, WWE wanted to hang him above the ring by his waist in a similar way to the Money in the Bank briefcase of recent years.
