Dolph Ziggler Recalls Being Told He Couldn’t Wear Certain Gear
Dolph Ziggler has recalled the outrageous gear he wore for one match before being told he could never use it again.
Former World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler is well-known for trying to stand out from the crowd with everything from his moves, to his personality and even his ring gear.
Speaking on ‘The Archive of B-Sox‘, Ziggler recalled a time where he went too far with his gear, resulting in him being told in no uncertain terms to never wear it again.
“I like leopard print. I got snow leopard gloves, a snow leopard vest, snow leopard trunks, and I got the craziest, biggest purple-orange spray tan you could ever get, and I bleached my hair fresh the night before. I go, ‘This is so outlandish and douchey. It’s gonna be great.’”
Dolph Ziggler went on to have a great bout against John Morrison, but it turned out the outfit was a bit too outlandish.
“I got to wrestle John Morrison, one of my best friends, and we had such a blast beating the hell out of each other, and I came to the back and, in words I can’t repeat, I was told that this would never be worn again. ‘Great match, don’t ever do that again.’ ‘Okay, I got it, thank you.’”
The match itself took place at Hell in a Cell 2009 and can be seen below.
