Dax Harwood Fires Back At Former WWE & AEW Star

Dax Harwood, AEW

Dax Harwood wasn’t happy with a series of wild claims from a former AEW star.

In a moment that rocked the wrestling industry, CM Punk launched a remarkable verbal attack on several high-profile AEW stars and Tony Khan during an appearance at the post-All Out 2022 press conference. Incredibly, Khan was sitting a matter of feet away at the time.

After his scorched-earth appearance in front of the media, Punk then got into an altercation backstage with several members of The Elite.

At the time, it was reported that Chris Jericho, Jon Moxley, and Bryan Danielson had stepped up to try and handle the situation. This was followed by reports that the trio were among senior roster members who called a talent meeting to try and get things back on track.

During an interview with Chris Van Vliet, former AEW star Jake Hager took several shots at his former boss, Tony Khan, including over his handling of the All Out incident.

In particular, Hager recalled an angry Khan interrupting the talent meeting before claiming Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler were absent after refusing to come to work.

“And lo and behold, who comes in the room storming in? Daddy’s little billionaire,” Hager said. “And he’s yelling at us because—I think it was Dax and Cash—didn’t want to come in. They didn’t like the storyline so they refused to come to TV that day.

And he was like, ‘Listen, I’ll put you in a six-man, six minutes before the show, and you’re gonna do it!’ And we’re all just—all feeling disrespected.”

Dax Harwood Unimpressed By Jake Hager Claims

Unsurprisingly, Harwood and Wheeler didn’t react kindly to the claims from Hager and immediately hit back.

In a post on social media, Harwood quickly denied that he and Wheeler weren’t at the meeting. He also strongly denied that the pair refused to come to the taping.

Cash and I were at the all-talent only meeting that was called by Bryan, Jericho, and Mox.

Tony never interrupted.

Cash and I have NEVER refused to show up to work and, I’d to dare say, if you look at our schedules since Collision started, we’re the most consistent talent that make BOTH shows EVERY WEEK.

I’m not really sure where all this is coming from, but it’s mostly not true.

For his part, Wheeler shared a screenshot of an apology from Hager, who conceded that he shouldn’t have named the pair when he was unsure whether they were the ones who refused to work.

During the same interview, Jake Hager claimed John Cena refused to “put him over” while with WWE, while confirming that he has no plans to return to the ring.
