Darby Allin Talks Being In World Title Match At AEW Double Or Nothing PPV
Darby Allin is “ready” to become AEW World Champion and achieve the goal he has “strived for since day one”.
Darby is in the main event of an AEW Pay Per View for the very first time at Double or Nothing.
The Two-Time TNT Champion will be competing in Las Vegas against “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry, Sammy Guevara, and AEW World Champion MJF.
For Darby, it signifies an opportunity to realize a long-term goal and he feels all four stars will be looking to deliver and showcase their ability.
Darby Allin appeared on TMZ Sports to promote tonight’s Double or Nothing, and has promised fans inside the T-Mobile Arena they are in for “something special”.
“My first ever main event in the whole entire company. That’s something I’ve strived for since day one. To be the face of the company. And to be the face of the company, I really believe you need to be champion.”
“I’m ready to rock it. This Sunday is going to be special. You got a bunch of young, hungry guys. I guess we all have chips on our shoulders. We got something to prove out there. We’re on last, we have to close the show. Got to bring the heat. I’m ready.”
Earlier this week a WWE Legend called Darby Allin an “attraction” as they shared thoughts on his in-ring style and overall look.
Double or Nothing takes place Sunday night and alongside the World Championship, a further Six Championships are on the line, including FTR defending their Tag Team Gold against Jay Lethal and “Double J” Jeff Jarrett.
Adam Cole faces off against Chris Jericho in an unsanctioned match, with an ECW legend in his corner. Whilst there will be Anarchy in the Arena as “Hangman” Adam Page and The Young Bucks take on Blackpool Combat Club.
