Cody Rhodes Reacts To Huge WWE WrestleMania Announcement
WWE recently released a trailer for WrestleMania 42, and Cody Rhodes reacted to it on social media.
WWE first dropped a series of cryptic teaser videos over several days, which featured shadowy close-ups of boots and footsteps hinting at various top stars like Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, CM Punk, and Brock Lesnar. These teasers served as breadcrumbs to build speculation and suspense among fans.
The final full-length reveal was a 1-minute cinematic trailer narrated by Triple H, showing the stars engaged in a high-stakes poker game, with Triple H and Paul Heyman observing, setting a dramatic tone reflective of Las Vegas, the event’s location.
WWE strategically timed the full trailer release just before this week’s RAW episode, after a string of multiple teaser clips that got fans buzzing and sparked intense speculation about returns and storylines.
Cody Rhodes Is Excited For WrestleMania 42
WrestleMania 41 was held on Saturday, April 19, and Sunday, April 20, 2025, at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada. Next year, The Shows of Shows will return to the same venue for Saturday, April 18, and Sunday, April 19, 2026.
That said, the WWE Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes logged onto his X (Twitter) account to react to the WrestleMania 42 trailer after it was released online.
He tweeted, “Time to run it back, WrestleMania 42 returns April 18 & 19 — be there LIVE for the sequel!”
Rhodes main evented night two of WrestleMania 41 this year, where he put the WWE Undisputed Championship on the line against The Never Seen 17, John Cena, which he lost. He won the title back from Cena in a Street Fight at SummerSlam Night 2 on August 3, 2025, in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
WWE is heavily featuring him in the early promotional materials and trailers for next year’s WrestleMania. So, it means he’s very likely to be a part of the event. But will be attending the event as the WWE Undisputed Champion, it’s hard to guess so soon.
Speaking of the Undisputed WWE Championship, the title will be on the line against Drew McIntyre at Saturday Night’s Main Event XLI, which will take place on November 1, 2025, from Salt Lake City, Utah, at Delta Center.
