Cody Rhodes Promises WWE Receipt For Travis Scott

Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes tried to cover for Travis Scott after he was injured by the rap star in a WWE ring but has now promised a receipt is coming.

At Elimination Chamber, John Cena booked his WWE Title shot at WrestleMania 41 when he won the Elimination Chamber but by the end of the night that was the last thing people were talking about.

While Cena celebrated he was met by WWE Champion Cody Rhodes before The Rock – who was accompanied by Travis Scott – made his presence felt.

The Rock wanted Rhodes’ soul but Rhodes refused to sell out to The Final Boss. Unfortunately for him, however, John Cena already had. John Cena viciously beat Cody Rhodes to the shock of everyone watching. The Rock whipped Rhodes with a weight belt but it was a brutal slap from Travis Scott that did the most damage, leaving Rhodes with a black eye and a perforated ear drum.

Cody Rhodes Sends Warning To Travis Scott

Speaking to Complex, Cody Rhodes explained how he tried to cover for Scott before footage emerged of one of the hardest slaps seen in a WWE ring and vowed that Scott would get a receipt if he dared step in the ring again:

The next day after the incident, I told everyone, ‘He didn’t hit me.’ I didn’t realize there was a fan video circulating of him hitting me with the power of a thousand suns and the noise deafening. And then I had a Tommy Boy situation where the entire side of my face was black and blue and I kept saying, ‘Oh no, I’m good. I’m good.’ And then I had a little flutter in the eardrum because it popped.

Again, I’m a weirdo, this is going to sound so strange, and I apologize to your viewers and your listeners, but man, that’s wrestling. You know what I’m saying? Beat me up. I’m going to beat you up. That’s wrestling. I am not mad so much, but I am looking, and my eyes are open for what we inevitably, what we’ll call a receipt. If Travis Scott ever makes his way back into the WWE fray, maybe there’s a receipt for Travis.

Cody Rhodes fired back at “piece of sh*t” John Cena on Raw, leaving his WrestleMania 41 challenger lying after a Cross Rhodes.
