Cody Rhodes Wins Big At WWE Royal Rumble Once Again

Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes will get another chance to finish his story after capturing his second win in the men’s Royal Rumble.

Cody Rhodes became only the fourth man in history to win back-to-back Royal Rumble matches as he outlasted twenty-nine other stars to book his place in the main event of WrestleMania.

Rhodes headlined WrestleMania 39, challenging Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship. However, Reigns had the full weight of The Bloodline behind him back then, helping him retain his gold as he continued his historic title reign.

When Cody Rhodes made his surprise return to WWE in 2022, he made clear he was looking to claim world title gold in the company, doing something that his legendary father never did and finishing his story. After failing to do so in 2023, The American Nightmare now has another chance.

Cody Rhodes Heading To WWE WrestleMania Main Event

Cody Rhodes entered the match as the fifteenth entrant and the field eventually thinned out to just himself and CM Punk. After a lot of back and forward, Rhodes eventually launched Punk over the top rope and to the floor to claim another chance to finish his story.

Although Rhodes has the chance to challenge whichever champion he chooses, he made it pretty clear what his intentions are as after he pointed at the WrestleMania 40 sign, he pointed at WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns who had been watching the match from a skybox. Time might be running out for The Tribal Chief.
