Cody Rhodes Reacts To Shock WWE Return

Cody Rhodes has welcomed a familiar face back to WWE.

On the February 27th episode of NXT, Ridge Holland took to the ring to protest his innocence after feeling like he was blamed for some storyline injuries. However with Holland in full flow, the lights went out and the ‘Three Faces’ vignette which has been repeatedly shown in recent weeks flashed on the big screen.

As the video ended a spotlight shone on the ring and a mystery figure appeared behind Holland and smashed him in the back with a steel chair. With the British star lying prone on the canvas, the attacker was revealed to be Shawn Spears.

Shawn Spears had been with AEW since 2019, before becoming a free agent on January 1st, 2024. Prior to heading to AEW where he was known as ‘The Chairman’ after attacking Cody Rhodes with said piece of furniture, Spears enjoyed a popular run in WWE as the ‘Prefect 10′ Tye Dillinger.

In response to Spears’ return, Cody Rhodes simply posted “10” on social media.

On the February 26th episode of Raw, Cody Rhodes saw off the challenge of Grayson Waller and hung around after the show to address the crowd. While talking Rhodes noticed a fan holding the sign reading “Cody are we having a boy or a girl?”

So naturally, Rhodes got involved in the gender reveal, even poking fun at himself in the process.

For those wondering, the happy couple is having a boy.
