CM Punk Reacts To “Ticking Time Bomb” Claims
CM Punk is firmly back in the thick of it in AEW but it still seems that not everyone is overly pleased that the former AEW World Champion has returned.
When AEW announced its new Saturday night show Collision, the rumor mill quickly got going as to whether CM Punk would be involved or not. Having been on the sidelines since the infamous press conference and backstage fight following All Out 2022, the rumors were quickly answered when he was confirmed for the inaugural show, on which he teamed with FTR to defeat Samoa Joe, Jay White, and Juice Robinson.
There’s been no let-up in appearances for the former AEW World Champion, as he was involved in the most recent Dynamite, will be in action this Saturday on Collision and then back in the ring 24 hours later when he faces NJPW’s Satoshi Kojima at Forbidden Door, as part of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.
However, the controversy is seemingly still following CM Punk. In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer notes that a top AEW star mentioned after Wednesday night that the situation with Punk and the rest of the locker room is a “ticking time bomb.”

Now CM Punk has responded in the time-honored way of taking to his Instagram Stories to share a photo of himself in a multi-colored robe while Rancid’s song Time Bomb plays.
AEW Tag Team Champion Dax Harwood had a more direct response for the person who seemingly spoke to Meltzer and also noted that they went home in a “bad mood” following Wednesday’s show that featured Punk on it.
