CM Punk May Never Wrestle Again
According to a new report, sources close to former AEW World Champion CM Punk say that the star might never wrestle again.
The future of CM Punk is the subject of some conjecture once again almost eight years after he walked out of WWE. This time the status of Punk is up in the air due to his suspension from AEW as a result of his part in the fight that took place after he lambasted many of his colleagues at the post-All Out media scrum.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Wrestling Inc’s Nick Hausman – the man Punk took issue with over his perceived relationship with Colt Cabana at the infamous media scrum – stated that sources close to CM Punk have said his time in the ring might now be over:
“Cash does not seem to be an issue for this guy. He’s got in-roads in Hollywood going on right now. Stephen Amell’s certainly shining him up with what they’re trying to do over on Heels right now. I have a lot of people that have known Punk that say to me, ‘This guy’s never gonna wrestle again.'”
Dave Melzer discussed how he doesn’t expect to see CM Punk back in AEW but it looks like his adversaries backstage at All Out, The Elite, will be back soon after a vignette featuring the first-ever AEW Trios Champions aired on Dynamite.
