CM Punk Was Emotional About Missing WWE Elimination Chamber

CM Punk

CM Punk missed WWE’s Elimination Chamber PLE due to injury and he went on social media to express how it made him feel.

Following his WWE return at Survivor Series, CM Punk was advertised for the Elimination Chamber PLE at Optus Stadium in Perth, Australia. However, he didn’t make that show.

That’s because at the WWE Royal Rumble, there was a spot in the match where Drew McIntyre hit Punk with the Future Shock DDT and Punk’s right arm hit the mat in such a way that it tore Punk’s right triceps.

CM Punk has said that he will miss anywhere from six to eight months rehabbing his torn right triceps. It was his second triceps surgery in two years since he tore his left triceps in September 2022 when he was in AEW.

The Men’s Elimination Chamber match featured the winner Drew McIntyre along with Randy Orton, US Champion Logan Paul, Bobby Lashley, Kevin Owens & LA Knight. If Punk was healthy, he likely would have won the match since it was expected that he would have challenged Seth “Freakin” Rollins at WrestleMania 40 for the World Heavyweight Title. Instead, McIntyre will get that spot.

CM Punk Says It Was A “Rough Day” Missing Elimination Chamber

In a post on his Instagram story, CM Punk was having a tough time missing the Elimination Chamber PLE.

“Had a rough day mentally today. My heart and spirit are in Perth. Just a hard day staying positive and nobody wishes I was there performing for the fans more than me.”

“Enjoy the show, appreciate you all.”

During the Men’s Elimination Chamber match, the fans chanted “CM Punk” at his rival McIntyre. That led to Drew laughing it off and Drew teased hitting a Go To Sleep like CM Punk, but LA Knight was able to avoid it.
