Christian Cage Re-Signed To “Big Fat Contract” With AEW
Fathers watch out, Christian Cage isn’t going anywhere.
Christian Cage has been lower than a snake’s belly for quite some time in AEW, ever since he turned his back on Jungle Boy Jack Perry and took Luchasaurus as his right hand of destruction. No topic has been off limits for Cage who talked about Perry’s late father, the actor Luke Perry during their feud and turned things personal with Wardlow when they met in a ladder match for the TNT Championship.
Luchasaurus was the one, however, to win that title from Mr. Mayhem but you wouldn’t know it as Christian Cage has been parading about with the belt and referring to himself as TNT Champion ever since.
Now at the post-All Out press conference, Christian Cage gave an update on his AEW future and it seems like he’s signed a new deal with the promotion:
“It might have been some of you people who said I wasn’t worth the hype. I think I’ve proved you all wrong now.
I know I proved Tony Khan right because he just re-signed me to a big fat contract. He opened the vault for me and I deserve every single penny that I got.”
When did Christian Cage join AEW?
Following his stellar career in WWE which was split by a stay in TNA, Christian Cage became All Elite when he debuted for Tony Khan’s company at Revolution in March 2021.
Cage went on an early undefeated streak in the company and on the first-ever episode of Rampage, he defeated Kenny Omega for the IMPACT World Championship. Unfortunately for Cage, he was unable to repeat the feat just weeks later at All Out for the AEW World Title.
