Chris Jericho In Heated Exchange With CM Punk’s Lawyer

Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho could face a legal battle in the future if he lifts the lid on what he saw on the most infamous night in AEW history.

CM Punk was involved in a fight with The Elite after All Out 2022 after Punk tore through several of his co-workers at the post-show media scrum. However, fans hoping to hear what really happened might be disappointed as CM Punk has signed an NDA barring him from talking about it.

That was according to his legal representative Stephen P. New, who noted that everyone involved had signed an NDA meaning not much past what has already been reported will ever be known. That is unless Ace Steel’s wife Lucy, who was in Punk’s locker room when things went south speaks, as she was not subject to the gagging order.

However, Chris Jericho has claimed he didn’t sign an NDA either as he responded to New’s claims on social media. Stephen P. New responded, noting that Jericho’s NDA was part of the AEW employee handbook:

It’s in your employee handbook unless you have a special one. We can figure it out

Chris Jericho Fires Back At CM Punk’s Lawyer

That led to Chris Jericho firing off a heated response to New, claiming that he saw everything on the night in question and he considers what happened to be disgusting:

Hey @StephenPNew – I don’t adhere to an employee handbook and have NEVER had one in 4 years of working for @aew. Ive also never signed an NDA in my life ….ever. So stop trying to be a bully and making egotistical fantasy brags for your clients, and start doing some research before you make blanket statements about your buddies.

Because I saw EVERYTHING that night…including how Lucy (and her husband and best buddy) acted and what really went down…and since I was in the room and watching her and everybody else the whole time..I know exactly what really happened. And considering you weren’t there and I was …maybe you should shut your mark ass up. Because what really went down was disgusting. ….

New was not deterred and seemed to issue a threat to Jericho noting that his post would be considered Exhibit A:

Thank you Chris. We will just attach this Tweet as Exhibit A. Merry Christmas

CM Punk kicked off the infamous media scrum that caused the issues and 25 minutes after CM Punk left the scrum, Jericho entered it, suggesting that all the action took place within that timeframe on the night. While CM Punk is back in WWE, the lingering effects of that night in AEW look to continue.
