Charlotte Flair Surprises Alexa Bliss With Unusual Gift On WWE SmackDown

Charlotte Flair had an early birthday gift for her tag team partner, Alexa Bliss.

The tag team of Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss hasn’t been teaming up for that long, but they have been successful in their short time together.

At WWE SummerSlam, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss got their second shot at the Women’s Tag Team Titles, and they made it count. In a match against the team of Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez, Flair and Bliss overcame some miscommunication issues to get the win. Bliss hit a Sister Abigail DDT for the win for the team, and the fans loved seeing the new championship team of Flair and Bliss together.

In a rematch on the first Raw after SummerSlam, Bliss and Flair beat Raquel and Roxanne again to solidify themselves as the champions.

WWE SmackDown took place in Montreal, one day before Bliss turned 34 years old, so Flair had a birthday cake for her partner. Flair also gave Bliss an updated “We’re Not Friends” Lilly doll, as well as a “We’re Not Friends” Charlie doll, which led to a Charlie chant.

Flair also permitted Bliss with the opportunity to hug her, but before that happened, Chelsea Green and friends interrupted. Flair ended up beating Green in a match after that.

Teaming With Alexa Bliss Is Best Thing For Charlotte Flair

The team of Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss has led to Flair becoming a babyface who is cheered by the fans who are enjoying the duo together. Prior to the team being formed, Flair was hated by the fans and she had a tough time connecting with the audience.

WWE Hall of Famer Bubba Ray Dudley thinks this pairing has been the best thing for Flair.

“I think this is the best thing maybe ever to happen to Charlotte in her career. We are now looking at Charlotte in a completely different light. She’s vulnerable. She’s becoming likable through her vulnerability. She’s paired up, she’s sharing the spotlight with a character and a woman that the universe loves. It’s time to keep Charlotte Flair away from the championship for a while.

And when will the time be right for Charlotte to be back in the Championship picture? When the fans start clamoring for Charlotte. When you find a woman that is so unstoppable that nobody can overcome that you got to pick up the bat phone and call Charlotte Flair.”

As the Women’s Tag Team Champions, Flair and Bliss can appear on any brand at any time, just like they did this past Monday on Raw and on Friday’s SmackDown in the same week.
