Charlotte Flair Gives Candid Thoughts On WWE Sale
The prospect of WWE being has led to a wide range of opinions, including those from Charlotte Flair.
Rumors of a possible sale of WWE to another company continue to circulate. Because of that, different people within the wrestling industry have given their thought on what they think would happen. Additionally, some wrestlers employed by WWE have also commented on how such a sale would impact their careers.
Opinions on the matter vary greatly. The Rock thinks that WWE is an exciting brand to buy. Kofi Kingston thinks such changes will have little impact on his day-to-day wrestling. The CEO of Anthem Sports (which owns IMPACT) predicts that WWE would be overwhelmed with cost-cutting measures if sold to certain buyers.
And according to previous reports, if WWE is sold to the wrong buyer, several wrestlers would rather quit than continue working there.
Now, Charlotte Flair has added her voice to the discussion. In an interview with the New York Post, Charlotte essentially said the same thing as Kofi Kingston, albeit in her own words:
“As a performer, it’s just my job to go to work, show up, do my best and make creative proud and entertain the fans. So I really don’t think about it. And two, if say a sale was to happen, that takes months, so I don’t actively think about it. That doesn’t change what I do or what I have done.”
Charlotte Flair is the current SmackDown Women’s Champion. As of this writing, she has not been confirmed as a participant in the 2023 Women’s Royal Rumble match this Saturday, not has her next title defense been announced.
