Bryan Danielson Admits Vince McMahon Feelings Have Changed

Bryan Danielson Vince McMahon

AEW star Bryan Danielson has had his say on the lawsuit facing Vince McMahon as the scandal touches close to home for Danielson’s own family.

Vince McMahon has been accused of serious sexual assault and sex trafficking in a lawsuit that sent shockwaves throughout WWE. As a result, Vince McMahon was forced to resign as TKO Executive Chairman and it looks like there is no way back for McMahon in the company.

But McMahon was not the only person accused of wrong-doing as former WWE Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis was also accused of misconduct by a former employee who he is alleged to have had a sexual relationship with. Laurinaitis is married to the mother of WWE Hall of Famers Brie and Nikki Bella – now known as Brie and Nikki Garcia – making him the father-in-law of Bryan Danielson.

Bryan Danielson Has His Say On Vince McMahon Allegations

Speaking on the Gorilla Position podcast, Bryan Danielson had his say on the messy situation and expressed empathy for those “victimized by people in power”:

First and foremost, I want to say that people who have been hurt are in a way worse position than I am. My empathy goes to them.

But, yeah, there’s not a lot I want to say about it, honestly, other than — because it’s not just the Vince piece, it’s also my father-in-law, maybe ex-father-in-law, as far as that kind of stuff goes.

It’s just, you know, you think of somebody in some way, and then something happens and it changes. And that’s always hard. But like I said, as hard as that may be for me emotionally, like this emotional thing, it’s way worse for people who have been victimized by people in power.

Bryan Danielson would not be drawn on how Brie and Nikki Garcia have dealt with the situation leaving it up to them if they want to discuss it publicly:

If they want to talk about it, they can talk about it. This should be a core tenet of everybody is to not — if somebody is willing to tell you their feelings of something that’s really hard, it’s not your place to tell everybody else. So, yeah, if they want to talk about it, they can. That’s not my jam.

The sentiments expressed by Bryan Danielson have not been reflected, publicly at least, by his old WWE rival John Cena. John Cena caused controversy by expressing his love for Vince McMahon while ignoring anything to do with the former WWE Chairman’s alleged victims.
