Bryan Danielson Unhappy With Talent Before AEW Collision Walkout

Bryan Danielson AEW

The saga of Nixon Newell and Miranda Alize walking out on AEW Collision has now dragged Bryan Danielson into it.

Former WWE star Nixon Newell and Miranda Alize caused a stir when they walked out of AEW Collision after being unhappy with their planned match with Anna Jay and Tay Melo. Newell and Alize had lost in quick fashion to Megan Bayne and Marina Shafir in their first match in the company and seemingly wanted a more competitive showing on Collision.

Newell has since claimed there was no bad blood with them and AEW following the strange situation. But that might not be totally true.

Fightful Select has now shed more light on the situation, and depending on who you believe, Bryan Danielson may or may not be involved.

Nixon Newell Denies Bryan Danielson Claim

The two took part in a live stream where they addressed the situation and which is said to have led to a number of AEW talent and staff speaking out. The report noted that it’s been claimed that Bryan Danielson spoke to Newell and Alize after their debut in the company and wasn’t happy with how that match went, as it did not meet the goal that AEW had.

Nixon Newell has denied this outright, claiming that neither she nor Miranda Alize had ever met Bryan Danielson, never mind spoken to him about a match gone wrong.

A number of women under contract to Tony Khan in AEW or ROH are said to have been frustrated, as they would have loved the opportunity to have three minutes to showcase their talents on Collision. It was also noted that likely nobody would have ever known about the situation had Miranda Alize not started teasing something had happened before Collision began, and reposted criticism of her and Newell’s booking.
