Brock Lesnar Reportedly Told People In WWE He Was “Finishing Up”
The end of Brock Lesnar’s career in WWE may be coming soon according to some comments he made to people in the company.
Brock Lesnar has been in the news a lot over the last week due to WrestleMania plans changing a lot regarding the 10-time WWE World Champion that is getting cheered a lot by the WWE Universe these days.
It was revealed recently that Lesnar turned down a WrestleMania 39 match with Bray Wyatt perhaps due to the uniqueness of the Wyatt character. That led to WWE pivoting in a different direction by putting Lesnar in a WrestleMania match with Omos, which was confirmed on the February 27th edition of Raw.
In an update on the Lesnar story, PWInsider Elite confirmed the original Fightful story about Lesnar turning down the match with Wyatt at WrestleMania 39. It was noted that the plan was changed for WrestleMania on the day of Elimination Chamber “likely due to Brock Lesnar’s request.” That meant instead of Lesnar beating Bobby Lashley, he lost by disqualification.
On the Smackdown prior to Elimination Chamber, Bray Wyatt did a promo about how he wanted the winner of the Lesnar-Lashley match.
The report from PWInsider also noted that Brock Lesnar was saying farewell to some people and that he was “finishing up” in WWE. There was a source that noted that it doesn’t necessarily mean Lesnar was done that night since he obviously is working WrestleMania 39 against Omos. Perhaps WrestleMania could be the end for Lesnar or soon after that since it is believed Lesnar’s contract typically expired around WrestleMania time.
At 45 years old after starting in WWE 21 years ago (with an eight-year break in between) and tens of millions of dollars in the bank, Brock Lesnar likely doesn’t need to wrestle much longer.
