Brock Lesnar Returns On Raw During US Title Match

Brock Lesnar is back in WWE after returning on the 30th anniversary of Raw during the US Title match that main evented the show.

The main event of the January 23rd edition of Raw saw Austin Theory defending the US Title in a No Disqualification Match against Bobby Lashley, who is a former US Champion.

There was a key spot in the match when Theory hit Lashley with a low blow to get out of a move, but Lashley hit a spinebuster through a table that was in the ring. With both guys down on the mat selling, Brock Lesnar’s music hit as the smiling cowboy made his way down to the ring.

When Lesnar got into the ring, he gave Lashley an F5. That wasn’t all because Lesnar also picked up Theory and gave him an F5 so that he landed right on top of Lashley. With Theory landing on top of Lashley perfectly, the referee counted the pin and Theory retained his title.

It didn’t appear as though Lesnar’s intent was to cost Lashley the US Title. When Lashley lost the US Title to Seth Rollins on the October 10th, 2022 edition of Raw, it was also due to Lesnar attacking him before the match. Lashley made a reference to that in a pre-match interview, which was a way to foreshadow Lesnar’s appearance in the main event.

Lesnar and Lashley went 1-1 during their singles matches in 2022. Lashley beat Lesnar at Royal Rumble 2022 in a cheap way while Lesnar got his win back at Crown Jewel in November by landing back first onto Lashley, who had applied the Hurt Lock. Lashley dominated the match and beat up Lesnar some more after the match.

This Raw appearance for Brock Lesnar was his first time on WWE TV since Crown Jewel, so it was over two months ago. It’s unknown if Lesnar will be in the Royal Rumble, but he is featured prominently on the Royal Rumble poster/graphic, so that likely means Lesnar will be there. Lashley is in the Rumble match, so there could be another confrontation between the two former World Champions.

Lashley recently spoke about wanting to face Lesnar in a No Holds Barred match, so that could be what we see from them in the future.
