Booker T Tells 2 WWE Stars “Quit Messing Around”
Booker T has strong words for two WWE stars he wants to see make the most of their most recent big opportunity.
In recent weeks Bobby Lashley has taken the Street Profits duo of Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins under his wing. Putting them in sharp suits, Lashley attempted to give the fun-loving team a whole new attitude but things haven’t quite panned out.
Lashley was unhappy when a hesitation to do whatever it takes by Dawkins led to the Profits losing a tag team match on the 22nd of September edition of SmackDown to the LWO duo of Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar. That resulted in Lashley dressing down Ford and Dawkins telling them he wanted his suits and watches back and that he’d be able to find another team capable of getting the job done.
Booker T tells Street Profits to ditch the cups
Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Booker T had a similar message for the Street Profits as he hoped their union with Bobby Lashley would get back on track. But for that to happen, the Profits need to find their edge and quick:
“I’m still conflicted with, you know, Street Profits and Bobby together. I mean it’s a great combination, you know, they got a lot in common. Let’s just say that they’re all brothers [laughs].
“But, I don’t know, I’m not too fond of the group just because I’m looking for some Deion [Sanders.] I’m like Coach Prime, I’m looking for some dogs, man, and if you ain’t one of them dogs, you might want to start applying to another university.
“I’ve been telling Street Profits they need to turn into some dogs. Ditch the cup, all right? What’s in the damn cup? So that’s my thing, it’s time to start putting the Hurt Business on the map. It’s time to bring the pain if you’re gonna bring the pain, and quit messing around, you know, and jiving and messing around.”
Whether or not Bobby Lashley will find the success he did with The Hurt Business with the Street Profits remains to be seen.
