Bobby Lashley Explains Why He Aligned Himself With The Street Profits

Bobby Lashley has revealed what he sees in The Street Profits.

Lashley has been responsible for the new look and new attitude of the former Tag Team Champions. First offering his services back in July, the All Mighty would later suggest that Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins swap the sweats for custom suits. However, despite mentoring Ford and Dawkins for a number of months, the former WWE Champion has yet to explain his motivation.

Speaking on The Bump, Lashley revealed that to be a dominant champion you have to do whatever it takes, which is something that he intends to teach to the tag team:

“When I looked for somebody that I can work with, these two guys have more potential than anybody else in the company, without a shadow of a doubt,” Lashley said. “They’ve already been tag team champions, but I think that they can hold and have a reign that no one has ever seen before. In order to do that, you have to do whatever it takes to get to that level. There’s hard work, there’s the ‘it’ factor … but there’s something else they need to take into consideration, and that’s doing whatever it takes.”

Is The Alliance Over Between Bobby Lashley And The Street Profits?

Although Lashley spoke highly of The Street Profits on The Bump he was less impressed with his new associates on the September 22nd edition of SmackDown. Following Ford and Dawkins losing to Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar, an irate Lashley looked to end the alliance then and there as he demanded that The Profits return their custom suits.

To explain what is next for the trio, Lashley will be a guest on The Grayson Waller Effect on the September 29th broadcast.
