Becky Lynch Responds To NXT Champion
Becky Lynch teases a return to NXT.
Lynch has done just about all there is to do in her WWE career including capturing all the main roster championships, winning the Royal Rumble and making history by being a part of the all-women’s WrestleMania main event. There is one accolade that still alludes The Man though, winning the NXT Women’s Championship.
As seen on the Heatwave special edition episode, NXT Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton stated that she would be the greatest champion of all time, being greater than former champions Bayley, Asuka and Charlotte Flair. Stratton would also list Lynch’s name in the promo, which caught the attention of Big Time Becks.
Lynch would quote the NXT promo by Stratton on social media and agree that she has not been NXT Women’s Champion, but that could change in the near future:
I haven’t been NXT Women’s Champion…yet. #NXTHeatwave
The promo was then interrupted by Blair Davenport, Roxanne Perez, Gigi Dolin and Kiana James, who all feel that they should be next in line for a title shot. Stratton was interviewed later in the show, calling Lynch “irrelevant.” It was then announced that a Fatal 4-Way match will take place the following week where the winner will face Stratton for the title.
Becky Lynch And Trish Stratus Set For Steel Cage Show-Down
The rivalry between Lynch and Hall of Famer Trish Stratus looks to come to an end at Payback. Following the match being pulled from SummerSlam, the match looked to finally take place on August 14th but would end in a double count-out. Wanting to establish a clear winner and to prevent Zoey Stark from interfering, it has been announced that Lynch and Stratus will battle inside a Steel Cage at Payback.
