Bayley Receives Treatment For Recent Injury
Bayley appears to have started the road to recovery.
The leader of Damage CTRL has not competed since a match was cut short due to an unfortunate incident taking place at a non-televised event on July 16th.
The match saw Women’s Champion Asuka defend the title in a 4-Way match against Charlotte Flair, Bianca Belair and Bayley. Fan footage from the event saw the Grand Slam Champion land awkwardly, causing the referee to throw up the X sign, signalling that the injury was legitimate and further assistance was required. In a update posted on social media one week later, Bayley was seen pictured wearing a leg brace.
In a further update on social media, the former Money in the Bank winner has posted a picture on her Instagram story of the injured leg receiving treatment at a medical centre.
Bayley Continues To Entertain On WWE SmackDown And Beyond
Despite being unable to compete, the former Women’s Champion has still appeared weekly on Friday nights. The Role Model has accompanied Money in the Bank Briefcase holder IYO SKY to the ring for her matches, and has provided guest commentary for the fellow Damage CTRL member. Outside of the blue brand, Bayley would also team with Liv Morgan, Becky Lynch, Natalya and Alexa Bliss as part of a special episode of Family Feud, competing against fellow Superstars Seth Rollins, Big E, Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston and Dolph Ziggler.
Although not on the card for the upcoming SummerSlam Premium Live Event, the Damage CTRL members may be making an appearance on the anniversary of the faction forming. Miss Money in the Bank may choose to celebrate the occasion by attempting to cash-in the contract on Asuka, who will be defending the title against Flair and Belair in a Triple Threat match.
When the former Women’s Tag Team Champion is cleared to wrestle again, the first match looks to be against Shotzi, who has targeted Bayley with videos, property damage and a note promising to meet again soon.
TJR Wrestling would like to wish Bayley a full and speedy recovery.
