Update On Bayley Following WWE Live Event Injury

Bayley has already given her account of how she’s doing after her injury, and now additional reports are coming in to paint a clearer picture of the situation.

Earlier today, it was reported that she suffered an injury during a live event in Salisbury, Maryland this past Sunday during a WWE Women’s Championship match that saw her take on Charlotte, Asuka, and Bianca Belair.

According to videos that have been making the rounds on social media, the injury allegedly happened when Asuka was trying to jump over or get around Bayley but a miscommunication occurred and Asuka’s weight fell onto Bayley’s leg.

Bayley was quick to calm concerned fans down when she posted a photo of herself with an ice pack on her knee with the title “I’m fine”.

While Bayley’s reaction was a good sign, it is important to wait and see with such injuries as there’s no telling whether they’ll get better or worse over time. After all, Bryan Danielson had a similar reaction after suffering an injury in his Forbidden Door match with Kazuchika Okada and later updates found that injury to be worse than originally thought.

But this doesn’t appear to be the case for Bayley. According to a report by Fightful Select, WWE’s doctors are still waiting to make any formal announcements regarding Bayley’s injury status.

That said, there was some optimism in her case since she left the building limping but not needing crutches or any other support to get around. WWE sees this as a good sign and their medical staff appears to be waiting for her swelling to go down before they can determine what’s wrong.
