Batista Was A “Worthless Piece Of Sh*t,” Says Ex-WWE Star
Batista is a renowned figure in the wrestling world.
Now retired from in-ring competition, the 56-year-old is a Hollywood star and famous for playing Drax the Destroyer in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy franchise.
In WWE, his most renowned tenure was when he joined the heel faction Evolution in 2003, comprising Triple H, Ric Flair, and Randy Orton.
He remained in the faction until 2005, departing it just before WrestleMania 21, where he defeated Triple H to win the World Heavyweight Championship.
During his time in the Stamford promotion, he was a 6-time World Champion, and although he became a beloved personality at the end of his career, he had troubles early on.
One of the wrestlers who often expressed grievances towards Batista was Rene Dupree of La Resistance.
The two had backstage heat, with Dupree once stating during an interview that The Animal did not like him as he was getting a lot of attention from the Divas.
In a recent Q&A session with his followers on YouTube, the Canadian wrestler took another shot at Batista, calling him a ‘worthless piece of sh*t.’
Batista Named The Best Wrestler-Turned-Actor
Wrestlers transitioning to Hollywood actors is not new.
In the 1990s, Hulk Hogan unsuccessfully pursued that dream before returning to the squared circle. The Rock left WWE at the peak of his popularity, and a couple of decades later, he is one of the popular actors in the world.
John Cena is about to follow suit by retiring in December 2025. Meanwhile, Batista has been active in the movie business since the early 2010s.
Recently, in a top 10 list for wrestlers who have become actors, The Hollywood Reporter awarded him the top spot. The Rock came in second, followed by the 17-time World Champion John Cena.
After quitting WWE in 2014, Batista returned for a last run and picked up a feud against Triple H. They fought at WrestleMania 35 in a No Holds Barred match, with him putting The Cerebral Assassin over.
